[The minutes of  THE WHITE ROSE IRREGULARS gathering 9/12/2009 at the Cooked Goose Inn - aka Mrs. Hudson flat at 221A Baker Street

                                                                                                                                                   From 221A Baker Street

 Good day all,

Our normal group secretary was unable to attend our event so please forgive my humble offering of information.

Those who attended were: Mrs. Hudson [that's me!],Mr. James L. Young, Jr, Ms. Pamela Bower, Mr. Gary L. Miller, Mr. Frank A. Mentzel, Mr. & Mrs. Jim Arva, Denny Dobry, Julianne Burke, Marjie Leonard, Dave SPector [a scullery support help EVEN with a COLD!]

The bloodless inquisition was prepared by Jim Arva.

The group was very enthusiastic and all contributed some VERY FINE food. We served .....Cottage Pie by Julianne, Shrimp Salad by Frank Mentzel, Broccoli Salad with Ham by Judy Arva, Chicken Curry with Rice by James L. Young Jr., Fresh Oyster pie [Jim Arva's birthday cake], assorted scones & muffins with related condiments,Italian Bread by Pam Bower and a spectacular leaning tower of Black Forest Cake by Gary L. Miller.

We gathered together and wished Jim Arva a wonderful birthday....... Then onto discussion of the story - WHY ON EARTH did that woman save the mutilated photograph for all those years? Seriously...the only reason we could consider was raised by Julianne "perhaps she wanted people to know that if anything ever happened to her - to look to Jonas Oldacre". Much discussion followed on various points of minutia.

Onto the Bloodless Inquisition .....Julianne won! [It is reprinted on this site]

Then we had a brief talk on fingerprinting..as SOMETIME during the day a bloody fingerprint appeared on the front hallway wall. All were thumb printed upon arrival as each person was a suspect. Magnifying glasses appeared and the US Department of Justice Fingerprint Manual served as our guide as we each attempted to identify the print of the villain. ALL but one suspected Jim Arva as he ONLY left the top portion of his thumbprints and the identifiable portion that was unique was the tent portion of the print. Clever, but it did not save the perpetrator from being found out. I seem that our own Gary Miller has a professional background with fingerprints during his work with the military! Hence he properly identified the villain as James L. Young Jr. My and James is SUCH a quiet man....they are the ones you need to watch my dears, the quiet ones....you never know what is going on behind that cool facade.

Our group is comprised of many interesting character. From a REAL Mrs. Hudson to engineers, project managers, students, attorneys, Professors, State employees, amazing homemakers, and more....we truly represent every walk of life.

Our passion is the canon and not taking life too seriously. We meet periodically in Sherlock's digs at 221b Baker Street in Reading PA [courtesy of Denny Dobry] and also at the Cooked Goose Inn aka 221A Mrs. Hudson's flat located in the same town! [Bless Mr. Spector the caretaker, he TRULY has the heart of a saint]

The purpose of this site is to encourage enjoyment of the canon and sharing of info and research between members and fans alike.
